Frankee is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

  • Full name and email address
  • Organization name and type
  • Account role (admin, member, viewer)
  • Password (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash - we never store your plain-text password)
  • Date and time you accepted these Terms (timestamp logged at registration)

1.2 Product Usage Data

  • Prompts and inputs you submit to generate agile artifacts
  • AI-generated outputs and your interactions with them
  • Retrospective notes and analysis results
  • User stories and backlog content you create
  • Feature usage patterns and session activity

1.3 Technical Data

  • IP address, browser type, and device type
  • Access timestamps and session duration
  • Error logs and performance data

We do not currently use cookies for tracking or advertising. We do not use third-party analytics tools during the beta period.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Operate the Frankee platform and deliver AI-powered features
  • Generate AI responses and agile artifacts based on your inputs
  • Maintain your account and team configuration
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and improve service reliability
  • Communicate product updates and beta program information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. AI Processing and Third-Party Services

Some user inputs are processed through third-party AI infrastructure. This is necessary to provide Frankee's core features.

3.1 Anthropic Claude API

Frankee uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate AI-powered responses, user stories, retrospective analysis, and other agile artifacts. When you submit a prompt, relevant portions of your input may be sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic processes this data under their own Privacy Policy, available at anthropic.com.

We recommend avoiding including sensitive personal data or protected health information in your Frankee inputs.

3.2 Infrastructure Providers

  • Render (render.com) - cloud hosting and database services
  • Google Workspace - email communication (noreply@frankee.ai)

4. Data Security

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit
  • Passwords stored using one-way cryptographic hashing (bcrypt)
  • JWT-based authentication with expiring tokens
  • Organization-level data isolation - your data is never accessible to other organizations

No system can guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with New York State law (the SHIELD Act).

5. Data Retention

5.1 Beta Program Data

Data created during the beta program will be retained through the end of the beta period and for up to 90 days after the beta concludes. At that point, you will have the opportunity to export your data or transition to a paid account.

5.2 Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting privacy@frankee.ai. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Portability: request an export of your content

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@frankee.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

7. New York State - SHIELD Act Compliance

Frankee complies with the New York SHIELD Act. We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the size and complexity of our business and the sensitivity of the information we hold.

8. Children's Privacy

Frankee is designed for professional use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age.

9. Changes to This Policy

When we make material changes, we will notify beta users by email. Continued use after receiving notice constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
